Itinerary

  • County Clare

Some of you (us included) will be travelling from afar to attend and we want everyone to make the most of the trip. So, we are planning to make full use of the days before the wedding to catch up with everyone and explore Clare.

As well as a few cheeky rendezvous at a couple of pubs along the way, our plans are to do a walk along the Cliffs of Moher when the weather is suitable and also a trip to the Aran Islands (see below).

Other points of interest around are:

    • Doolin

    • The Burren

    • Loop Head

    • Kilkee Cliffs

  • Inis Mór

One of our favourite spots and a great day trip. The island of Inis Mór is a 35 minute ferry trip from Doolin and is known for its scenery, horse drawn carriages, traditional music sessions, a wild seal colony, the clifftop fort Dún Aonghasa and a swimming hole Poll na bPéist (so bring your togs).

  • Our Lady Star of The Sea Church, Quilty, Co. Clare

    1:00pm

A Catholic Wedding Mass in Sinéad's home parish.

Please dress smartly for the occasion.

  • Vaughan's Pub, Kilfenora

    From 3pm

After the ceremony please make your way to Vaughan's Pub - it is about a 30 min drive from Quilty.

The wedding party will be having photos taken between the Church and Reception so you have plenty of time. Feel free to take a scenic route.

On arrival at Vaughan's there will be welcoming drinks, traditional Irish music and outdoor games (weather dependant).

Dinner will be served at approximately 6pm with formalities to follow.

The band will begin at 9pm.

The DJ to follow after and Sinead will perform on the tin whistle after that...unless she deletes this.

The music will finish at 1:30am, the bar will finish at 2:00am and the night will finish when the last person goes to bed.

  • Flanagan's, Lahinch

    From 5pm

A chilled out get together before we all head our separate ways. Late enough in the day so we can sleep in and early enough to be home in time to milk the cows.

We have reserved the outdoor area of Flanagan's Pub in Lahinch. Plans are for an afternoon of music and chats.
